Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist, Middle Market Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to achieve financial targets
• Negotiate pricing and terms with producers while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation and ensure accurate policy documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in underwriting profitable business
• Expert understanding of sub-Line of Business (LoB) products and portfolios
• Established relationships with brokers at a peer group level
• Understanding of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape
• Preferably a degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration
