Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist/Underwriting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts technical underwriting, account management, and client management for casualty group captive programs
• Oversees all pre and post bind activities, ensuring compliance and managing the renewal process
• Develops and maintains relationships with producers and insureds to achieve production and profitability goals

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required
• CPCU or similar designation is a plus
• Three to five years of underwriting experience or experience in the Loss Sensitive, Excess & Surplus marketplace, or captive insurance marketplace
• Understanding of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverage forms
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
