Underwriting Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform senior level management duties and assist the underwriting team with escalated issues
• Lead team meetings, provide performance feedback, and training to department staff members
• Identify operations gaps, propose efficient business solutions, and maintain accurate documentation of Standard Operating Procedures

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• 5+ years of experience underwriting medical risk in the individual and/or small group health market
• Working knowledge of employer-based Large Group Fully Insured Master Health Plan benefits and design
• Experience working within the PEO industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage quote reviews and escalations
• Ability to act as an underwriting sales liaison, mentor team members, and manage reporting and team projects
