Job Summary

Leading a high-performing underwriting team remotely, the full-time Underwriting Supervisor will mentor staff, oversee underwriting operations, and ensure compliance with quality standards while supporting strategic initiatives in the crop insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage underwriting staff through training, coaching, and performance management
• Oversee underwriting operations, maintain workflow expertise, and assist with business processing as needed
• Evaluate underwriting information and make final underwriting determinations while ensuring compliance with guidelines

Required qualifications

• A minimum of six years of relevant underwriting experience
• Previous experience in the agriculture or crop insurance industry
• A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Ability to apply underwriting principles and practices in strategic work
• Knowledge of industry changes and legal updates related to crop insurance
