Underwriting Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Support Specialist who will provide essential support to the underwriting and closing department.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requests from the closing department and analyze documentation to make informed decisions
• Conduct reviews of loan files for compliance with various lending guidelines and troubleshoot AUS issues
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and assist with underwriting support tasks

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience in underwriting or processing is required
• Experience with Encompass and Automated Underwriting Systems is preferred
• Strong understanding of agency and non-agency guidelines is desired
• Background in conventional and non-conventional underwriting, including FHA, VA, Jumbo, and Non-QM loans is desired
• High school diploma or GED is required
