Underwriting Support Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising a team of underwriting support staff, the full-time Underwriting Support Supervisor will manage workflow, staff training, and performance evaluations while ensuring adherence to company policies in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee staff scheduling, workflow, and employee training while addressing performance appraisals and disciplinary issues
• Assist staff in resolving complex operational problems and serve as the primary point of contact for procedural inquiries
• Monitor departmental processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance with quality standards

Required Qualifications

• 4-Year Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 6 years of relevant underwriting experience in specialty insurance or a related area
• Strong working knowledge of state laws and industry changes affecting the business
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
