Underwriting Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Technician, National Accounts Casualty.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new and renewal insurance applications accurately and timely
• Assist underwriters by communicating with agencies and handling routine underwriting requirements
• Perform data entry, issue policies, and process cancellations or reissues as requested by underwriters

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; some college preferred
• Typically a minimum of three years of related work experience in an office environment
• Knowledge of policy processing procedures and applicable insurance products
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
