Underwriting Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the National Accounts Casualty team, the full-time remote Underwriting Technician will be responsible for the timely processing of new and renewal insurance applications, assisting underwriters, and ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process new and renewal insurance applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines
• Assist underwriters by communicating with agencies and gathering necessary information for underwriting decisions
• Perform data entry and issue policies upon underwriter approval, including handling cancellations and reissues as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; some college preferred
• Minimum of three years of related work experience in an office environment
• Knowledge of policy processing procedures and applicable insurance products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks while maintaining productivity and quality
