Job Summary
Seeking a remote contract Unix/Linux Engineer, the position focuses on configuring and troubleshooting SSSD, Linux authentication, and enterprise identity integrations while supporting secure OS-level authentication and privilege models in a complex environment.
Key responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot System Security Services Daemon (SSSD), Kerberos, LDAP, and AD integration
- Troubleshoot authentication failures, caching issues, domain joins, and cross-realm trust problems
- Manage RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu environments, including PAM stack configurations and sudo policy management
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SSSD, Linux authentication, and enterprise identity integrations
- Proficiency in managing RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments
- Experience with automation tools such as bash, Puppet, Ansible, or Python
- Knowledge of Linux hardening and secure access patterns
- Familiarity with Endpoint Privileged Management solutions
