Job Summary

To support employees in reducing their medical bills, the full-time salaried Upland Advocate will work remotely to assist with financial assistance applications, manage ongoing cases, and negotiate discounts with providers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist employees by completing, submitting, and tracking financial assistance applications
• Manage an ongoing case load of employees needing medical bill reduction and track each case to completion
• Negotiate cash price discounts and payment plans for employees who do not qualify for financial assistance

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in customer/member experience or patient navigation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet navigation
• Experience in billing, insurance, healthcare, or legal environments
• Native proficiency in Spanish preferred
