Job Summary
Leading the customs compliance program across the Americas, the full-time U.S. Customs Compliance Director will ensure adherence to customs laws and regulations while managing a team, providing strategic guidance, and overseeing operational processes to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and enhance the global customs compliance program, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide authoritative guidance on customs classification, valuation, and tariff applicability for complex products
- Oversee broker performance and ensure data accuracy in customs-related systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in customs and trade compliance, with leadership experience in regional or global programs
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. and international customs laws, including classification, valuation, and FTAs
- Experience managing customs audits and government inquiries, along with broker relationships
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements effectively to diverse audiences
