U.S. Licensed AI & IP Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AI & Intellectual Property Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and assess the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights
• Advise on AI legal strategies and compliance, ensuring responsible development and deployment practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate on IP hygiene and monitor third-party IP risks

Required Qualifications

• J.D. and active license to practice law in the U.S.; LL.M. or specialization in intellectual property law preferred
• 8+ years of experience in intellectual property law, particularly in AI and software patents
• Solid understanding of open-source licensing frameworks
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and relevant legal considerations
• Strong contract drafting and review skills, particularly in IP licensing
