Job Summary
To support its international trade compliance team, a remote contract Global Trade Attorney specializing in U.S. sanctions will advise on compliance matters, conduct legal research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for practical solutions, working 30 hours per week for a duration of 3 months with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on U.S. sanctions laws and international trade compliance matters
- Conduct legal research and provide guidance on sanctions and export control regulations
- Partner with various teams to implement compliance solutions and support risk assessments
Required qualifications
- J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 7+ years of experience in international trade compliance and sanctions law
- Deep knowledge of U.S. sanctions regulations and familiarity with EU and UK sanctions
- Experience advising on trade compliance risks and commercial transactions
- Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
