Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Counsel, Data Privacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead data and privacy counsel for the US and Americas region, providing business-oriented advice on data protection and cybersecurity issues
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of AI governance and privacy compliance programs across the Americas
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex data protection agreements and coordinate international data flows
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. legal qualification (or foreign equivalent) and active license to practice in at least one US jurisdiction
  • 8 years of experience in an in-house legal department and/or private practice focusing on technology, data, and privacy issues
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state privacy laws and their intersection with financial services regulation
  • Experience advising on emerging US and global AI legal requirements and governance best practices
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with technical teams to translate legal requirements into practical solutions
