US Licensed Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for defining methods for handling and transporting turbine and generator components, the full-time remote US Licensed Lead Mechanical Engineer will manage project execution, design validation, and tooling requirements for hydropower plant projects in North America.

Key responsibilities

• Collect information from various stakeholders to prepare installation and transport drawings for projects
• Design and calculate tools in accordance with established practices, ensuring compliance with safety and planning requirements
• Coordinate with the Tooling Center of Excellence and project teams to fulfill tooling needs and support site operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Over 5 years of significant experience in mechanical design with a US stamp
• Experience in designing lifting equipment and access platforms or substantial on-site experience
• Proficient in CAD and engineering calculations
• Excellent English communication skills for international collaboration
