U.S. Patent Agent

Job Summary

To support a growing patent prosecution team, the full-time remote U.S. Patent Agent will prepare and prosecute patent applications, respond to Office actions, and conduct comprehensive patent searches while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prosecute patent applications, including responding to Office actions and communicating with Patent Examiners
• Draft high-quality patent applications with detailed descriptions and figures to protect innovative technologies
• Conduct and analyze comprehensive patent searches to assess the patentability of inventions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Three or more years (preferably 6+) of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a law firm environment
• Registered as a Patent Agent before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Experience in Artificial Intelligence or Quantum Computing is a plus
