Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time U.S. Patent Filing Specialist will manage all administrative aspects of U.S. patent prosecution for assigned clients, providing organizational support, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with USPTO procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Manage administrative tasks related to U.S. patent prosecution, applying knowledge of USPTO procedures and firm protocols
- Build and maintain client relationships by delivering responsive service and anticipating future requests
- Prepare and file accurate USPTO submissions while monitoring electronic Daily Dockets and communicating deadlines to practitioners
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or prior patent law experience preferred; minimum of two years of progressive patent experience required
- Working knowledge of USPTO procedures, including 37 C.F.R., the MPEP, and USPTO systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage assignments from inception to completion with general supervision
