US Safeguarding Associate

Job Summary

To support safeguarding efforts during maternity leave, the part-time US Safeguarding Associate will conduct risk assessments, manage safeguarding concerns, and train staff on best practices while working remotely from the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and identify risks through community engagement
• Document and respond to safeguarding concerns using established protocols
• Deliver ongoing safeguarding training and maintain collaboration with local service providers

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safeguarding, protection, or related operational roles
• Fluency in English; Spanish or Arabic is desirable
• Strong judgment in sensitive safeguarding situations
• Understanding of survivor-centered practice and ethical decision-making
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
