USDA Organic Certification Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certification Program Supervisor to lead and support a team of Certification Specialists within the organic certification program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Certification Specialists, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Oversee certification workflows, approve decisions, and ensure compliance with operational procedures and NOP standards
• Monitor team performance through audits and metrics, driving continuous improvement in quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, food science, or a related scientific field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards and certification processes
• Experience with Livestock and Organic Crop Production
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience, including mentoring and performance management
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
