USPTO Registered Software Patent Agent

Job Summary

To support a growing patent practice, the full-time or part-time USPTO Registered Software Patent Agent will manage patent portfolio development, application drafting, and prosecution strategies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with patent strategy, portfolio management, and execution of patent prosecution
• Draft patent applications and manage docket and IDS processes
• Participate in elective growth initiatives such as networking, business development, and content creation

Required qualifications

• Registered USPTO Patent Agent with 4+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
• Background in software, with experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning preferred
• Ability to analyze complex technical documents, including patents and scientific papers
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Self-motivated with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines
