Job Summary

Utah Licensed Coding Analyst provides full-time remote support in coding for various healthcare programs, reviewing claims, monitoring billing practices, and managing provider appeals.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing claims to ensure accurate coding and compliance with regulations
• Logging provider appeals and communicating decisions to providers
• Consulting with other departments and maintaining subject-matter expertise in coding practices

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant work experience
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications
• National professional coding certification preferred within one year of hire
• Two years of coding or auditing experience in a healthcare environment preferred
• Experience with government programs such as Medicare or Medicaid is advantageous
