Utah Licensed Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

Evaluating and resolving coding edits in assigned Epic work queues, the full-time Utah Licensed Coding Coordinator will review medical documentation and assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate Epic EMR to manage Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up work queues effectively
• Assign appropriate coding and modifiers based on medical record documentation and coding guidelines
• Provide education and training for medical providers and coders while performing quality assurance audits

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of five years of professional fee coding experience, with at least three years in the assigned specialty service line
• CPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P) credential required
• Experience with E/M coding and specialty-specific coding required
• Preferred experience using Epic and managing work queues
