Utah Licensed Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Managing the coding department's daily operations, the full-time remote Utah Licensed Coding Supervisor will supervise caregivers, address coding issues, oversee QA audits, and participate in operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily coding functions and monitor departmental KPIs, including charge entry and coding work queues
• Participate in the hiring process, onboard new caregivers, and provide coaching and corrective action as needed
• Collaborate with Coding Managers and other departments to achieve Medical Group objectives and ensure adherence to protocols

Required qualifications

• Required: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist - Physician)
• Required: Demonstrated experience in professional fee coding, including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Minimum of two years of professional fee coding experience and prior supervisory experience
• Preferred: Experience with Epic EMR and coding for specific specialty service lines
