Utah Licensed ER Coding Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Hospital ER Coding Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze emergency department records to assign appropriate ICD-10 CM and CPT codes
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of coding and documentation, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Submit coded claims to billing departments or third-party payers in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and classification systems
• Ability to complete and pass internal coding exam
• Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health records
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
