Utah Licensed ER Coding Analyst

Job Summary

To ensure accurate coding for emergency department services, the full-time remote Utah Licensed ER Coding Analyst will assign ICD-10 CM and CPT codes, maintain compliance with coding guidelines, and resolve discrepancies in documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze emergency department records to assign appropriate ICD-10 CM and CPT codes
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of coding and documentation, resolving any discrepancies or errors
• Submit coded claims to the billing department or third-party payers in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding
• Ability to complete and pass an internal coding exam
• Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health records
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
