Job Summary

A company is looking for a Home Equity Lending Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze home equity loan requests, approving or denying based on risk assessment
• Review loan files for accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Maintain quality turn times and manage workload to meet production standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage or home equity lending, with underwriting experience preferred
• Four-year college degree or equivalent in a job-related field
• Must qualify annually as a Mortgage Loan Originator under S.A.F.E Act Registration post hire
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with financial lending software, preferably Encompass
