Utah Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

To support patient care in a fully remote environment, the full-time Utah Licensed Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in completing prior authorizations, resolving coverage barriers, and coordinating with providers and payers to ensure timely access to medications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in collecting clinical information and maintaining required records
• Utilize pharmacy technology to prepare and compound medication orders accurately
• Communicate with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to the state of practice
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice
• Experience in a health system or retail pharmacy is preferred
• Familiarity with the top 100 most common medications is advantageous
