Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Physician Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and coordination of physician education on regulatory issues and clinical documentation
• Engage and coach clinicians on appropriate documentation of medical necessity for hospital admissions
• Participate in utilization review committees and provide expertise for appeals in coordination with the Central Appeals Unit

Required Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from an accredited institution
• ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification
• Active Utah or Idaho Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining
• Two years of experience in leading successful improvements in clinical settings
• Experience with change management and leadership in adapting new processes or technology
