Job Summary
Leading a team of analysts, the full-time Utilities Manager will oversee utility recapture performance, manage billing operations, and ensure compliance across multiple communities while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the monthly recapture cycle, ensuring accurate billing and identifying root causes of discrepancies
- Lead and coach a team of analysts on rate analysis and compliance, while reviewing their work for accuracy
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and tracking renewals
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in utility management, property operations, or financial analysis
- Proven people management experience with a focus on setting expectations and performance reviews
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large general ledger exports
- Working knowledge of multi-state utility pass-through regulations
- Strong vendor negotiation skills and experience drafting written communications
