Job Summary
Building and managing relationships with utilities across North America, the full-time Utilities Partnerships Director will identify opportunities for demand response and battery deployment, work cross-functionally to deliver winning solutions, and attend industry events to represent the company in the utility market.
Key responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with utility stakeholders, focusing on demand response and capacity opportunities
- Lead the full cycle of engagement from initial outreach to contract negotiation and program management
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine proposals and improve Voltus's utility offerings based on market insights
Required qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the energy industry
- Experience working at a utility or with demand response companies is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with wholesale electricity markets and utility procurement processes, including RFPs and RFIs
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience with tools like Google Suite and Salesforce
