Utility Billing Representative

Job Summary

To support accurate utility billing operations, the remote contract-to-hire Customer Billing Representative will manage end-to-end billing activities, resolve complex exceptions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer billing activities including invoicing, account updates, and transaction processing within SAP systems
• Investigate and resolve complex billing exceptions, identifying root causes and improving workflows
• Perform account reconciliation activities, including research of unapplied payments and credit balances

Required qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in utility billing within a front office or back office environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP S4HANA IS U, including BPEM case management and billing validation concepts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret tariffs, rates, and financial data
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A degree or related coursework in accounting, business, or information systems is preferred
