Utility Designer 2

Job Summary

To support utility and telecommunication asset management, the full-time Utility Designer 2 will plan, design, and verify utility locations while initially engaging in fieldwork for training before transitioning to a fully remote position.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilize software to analyze field data and maintain records of utility infrastructure
• Design aerial and underground utilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing for cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and manage permitting processes while responding to emergencies as needed

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma with 2 years of relevant industry experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related technical field)
• Proficiency in CAD/Outside Plant Engineering design software, PLA software, and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain professional certificates and licenses as required by projects
• Strong skills in reading and comprehending instructions and performing basic arithmetic computations
• Capability to identify and resolve problems involving multiple variables in varied situations
