Utility Protection Coordinator

Job Summary

To support a growing utility coordination effort, the full-time Underground Utility Protection Coordinator will manage incoming 811 locate tickets, coordinate utility locating activities, and ensure compliance with state regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process incoming 811 locate tickets within required response times
• Coordinate utility locating activities with internal teams and third-party vendors, prioritizing emergency requests
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to locate performance and operational KPIs

Required qualifications

• High School diploma required; education in construction management, GIS, or utility management preferred
• 2+ years of experience in utility coordination, telecommunications, or underground infrastructure operations preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills required
• Familiarity with state utility damage prevention regulations and 811/One-Call processes
• Experience with GIS mapping systems and utility locate software preferred
