Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Associate General Counsel for a full-time role focused on utility-scale renewable energy transactions, who will lead legal support for project acquisitions, commercial contracting, and financing while working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal support for utility-scale project acquisitions, including diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation, and closing
- Draft and negotiate core project agreements such as letters of intent, term sheets, and EPC contracts
- Advise on legal risks and translate them into commercially practical recommendations for senior leadership
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of legal experience with significant exposure to utility-scale renewable energy
- Direct experience in drafting and negotiating project acquisition and financing agreements
- Strong understanding of project documentation related to development, construction, and financing
- Ability to manage outside counsel while retaining internal ownership of transaction strategy
- Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
