Utilization Management Assistant

Job Summary

Providing essential administrative support, the full-time remote Utilization Management Assistant will manage documentation, process requests, and facilitate communication to ensure efficient operations within the UM team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage timely post-acute care referrals to assist with length of stay management and mitigation of denials
• Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to facilitate care progression
• Ensure post-acute follow-up appointments for identified patients to assist with readmission prevention and continuity of care

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business or a Health-Related field, or a High School diploma with a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare, care coordination, utilization review, or discharge planning
• Experience supporting clinicians in demanding and fast-paced patient care environments
