Utilization Management Assistant

Job Summary

Providing essential administrative support, the full-time remote Utilization Management Assistant will manage documentation, process requests, and facilitate communication to ensure efficient operations within the Utilization Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage timely post-acute care referrals to assist with length of stay management and mitigate denials
• Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to facilitate care progression
• Ensure post-acute follow-up appointments for identified patients to assist with readmission prevention and continuity of care

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business or Health-Related field, or High School diploma with Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant certification required
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare, care coordination, utilization review, or discharge planning required
• Experience supporting clinicians in demanding patient care environments required
