Utilization Management Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Intake Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison for durable home medical requests and manage referral documentation
• Process incoming calls and ensure accurate data entry for home medical equipment referrals
• Generate reports for utilization activities and document inpatient admissions with proper coding

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Three years of office-related experience, with at least two years in a health-related field
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with managed care, claims processing, and relevant coding (CPT & ICD-9)
• Knowledge of utilization management and HCFA regulations
