Utilization Management Pharmacist

Job Summary

Overseeing a team of clinical pharmacists, the full-time remote Supervisor, Utilization Management Pharmacist will manage phone escalations, prior authorization reviews, and support clinical programs while mentoring staff and optimizing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise clinical pharmacists in handling escalations, prior authorizations, and outreach efforts
• Participate in performance reviews and provide coaching and training for staff development
• Conduct day-to-day clinical pharmacy functions, including member and provider education and support for clinical programs

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with 2+ years of pharmacy practice experience
• Experience in customer service, call center operations, and prior authorizations
• 2+ years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in a Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) setting
• Ability to work independently in a remote, high-volume environment with strong organizational skills
