Utilization Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, generate, and track correspondence, faxes, and authorizations for service reviews
• Interact with facilities, vendors, providers, and staff to facilitate information and record receipt
• Ensure compliance with compensation plans that do not create barriers to care and service determinations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School/GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent education & experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of general office and/or customer service experience preferred
• Work experience in utilization management/review in a healthcare/MCO setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
