Utilization Review Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete preadmission and concurrent reviews to obtain treatment authorizations and ensure ongoing communication with payors
• Coordinate peer reviews and manage the provision of Letters of Medical Necessity as needed
• Support the clinical team with guidance on placement criteria, level of care, and discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare-related studies preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in utilization review services in substance abuse treatment, behavioral health care, or healthcare
• Professional License or Certification relevant to the degree
• General knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other desktop applications
• Valid driver's license required
