UX Design Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the design system and component library, the full-time UX Design Engineer will maintain prototyping tools and collaborate with Product Engineers to ensure design quality and efficiency in a remote capacity from Ireland or the US.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the design system, including visual language, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines
- Maintain and extend the Storybook component library for optimal performance and documentation
- Develop and support prototyping tools that facilitate rapid transitions from ideas to validated prototypes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in product design and front-end engineering, with proficiency in Figma and modern front-end codebases
- Experience with production design systems and component libraries like Storybook
- Strong front-end skills in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS, including accessibility best practices
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design and prototyping workflows
