UX Director

Job Summary

Leading the design for the Foundation pillar, the remote UX Director will manage a team of 5-7 UX designers, focusing on enhancing the trial experience, onboarding, and activation flows to improve developer engagement and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UX strategy and ensure design quality for the Foundation pillar, maintaining standards across all surfaces
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering in the Foundation triad to influence product direction and advocate for user needs
• Manage and develop a team of UX designers, providing actionable feedback and fostering a culture of critique within the design team

Required qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience in product design, UX, or related fields with a focus on design quality and user outcomes
• Proven track record of managing and developing a team, with direct reports who have advanced under your leadership
• Experience co-owning product direction within a triad, actively contributing to roadmap discussions
• History of establishing and upholding a quality bar for design work, not just contributing as an individual contributor
• Domain experience in designing for developer tools, self-serve B2B SaaS, or products targeting engineering users
