Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Mortgage Underwriter (Wholesale Operations).

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite government loans including FHA and VA loans, as well as other loan types
Maintain communication with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan statuses
Assist with training needs and manage underwriting resources and credit policy execution

Required Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of recent government underwriting experience
Active LAPP/SAR for VA Loans and preferably FHA (DE) certification
Experience with various loan types such as Bond, USDA, Renovation, and Construction
Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input and interpretation
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
