VA Licensed Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for Outpatient Coders for remote full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform multi-specialty outpatient clinic coding, including ED, minor procedures, and lab encounters using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Adhere to site-specific coding guidelines and VHA coding standards
• Utilize coding tools such as E/M calculators and 3M Encoder for accurate coding

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• At least two years of VA or relevant coding experience
• Active credentials as a certified coder from recognized organizations
• Knowledge of VHA coding guidelines and E/M leveling
• Familiarity with anatomy, medical terminology, and reimbursement methodologies
• High School Diploma or equivalent
