VA Licensed Outpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for Remote VA Experienced Outpatient Medical Full Time & Part Time Coders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform multi-specialty outpatient clinic, ED, minor procedures, radiology, rehabilitation, and lab coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Follow site-specific coding guidelines and utilize E/M leveling for outpatient and ED visits
• Maintain active coding credentials and ensure compliance with current classification systems and reimbursement methodologies

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• At least two years of VA or relevant coding experience
• Active certification as a coder from recognized organizations (e.g., AHIMA, AAPC)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with E/M calculators and 3M Encoder for ICD10 and CPT coding
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and health record content
