Validation Engineer
Job Summary
To support the GIS Rack Integration Engineering Team, the full-time Validation Engineer will develop and support automation software for configuring, validating, and auditing asset information during the manufacturing and deployment of enterprise rack-based offerings while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the integration of software tool suites for system configuration and management
- Develop Linux shell scripts, Perl, and Python packages for testing and deployment activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline delivery of VMware-based appliances
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in embedded development of server control and management systems
- Fluency in modern networking technology and deep understanding of Dell Enterprise server and storage technology
- Knowledge of IPMI standards and cloud/big data software stack models
- Deployment and provisioning experience with Linux and Windows OS
- Ability to write and analyze technical documentation, including requirements and test plans
