Validation Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Validation Specialist will investigate discrepancies in medical record abstractions, provide educational feedback to abstractors, and maintain databases for quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and adjudicate discrepancies between abstractions and re-abstractions to determine the gold standard answer
• Accurately enter collected data into abstraction software and maintain records pertaining to quality of work
• Conduct analyses and prepare reports on workforce performance while ensuring confidentiality of medical records

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with hospital medical records
• 1+ year of CDAC abstraction experience with above average data accuracy
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in medical record review preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changes in abstraction processes
