Variant Scientist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Variant Scientist II to join their clinical genomics team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform variant interpretation using an in-house genetic evidence system to generate clinical reports
• Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources
• Develop and curate genetic content for a range of genetic disorders

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field with variant interpretation experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience
• Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory is preferred
• Experience with next-generation sequencing and genetic variant curation
• Experience in advanced methods of copy number detection and interpretation
• Experience in areas such as oncology, cardiology, or pediatric diagnostics is preferred
