VDC Pipe Designer

Job Summary

Utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, the full-time VDC Pipe Designer will model, coordinate, and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems, with the potential for fully remote work for the right experienced candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Generate mechanical pipe models based on project specifications, design drawings, and control diagrams
• Incorporate updates to drawings and models while collaborating with the design team to eliminate construction errors
• Manage multiple projects and communicate information for Requests for Information (RFIs) specific to the projects and trade

Required qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical piping and process pipe trade or 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, Fabrication of CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision while following written and oral instructions
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Availability to work assigned schedules
