Vehicle Accountant

Job Summary

To ensure financial accuracy and integrity of vehicle sales transactions, the remote Vehicle Accountant will manage the accounting lifecycle from sale through reconciliation, serving as a liaison between Accounting, Sales, and leadership while processing an average of 250 vehicle deals per month.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post New and Used vehicle sales transactions
• Record and monitor revenue and cost of sales related to vehicle sales
• Calculate commissions owed and submit to payroll while maintaining and reconciling accounting schedules

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in dealership accounting or administration
• Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and the process of vehicle sales transactions
• Experience with Dealer Management Systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
